2 Days 1 Night ( Deep Water Solo - Kayak to see plankton - Rock climbing)
Day 1 Bus Hà Nội - Deep Water Solo - Kayak at night to see plankton.
7:30am: The bus will pick up at the office at 172 Tran Quang Khai or pick up at hotels in Hanoi's Old Quarter.
- Arrive at Cat Ba around 11:20, check in, you will have lunch on your own.
12:30: You will be at our office to check out climbing shoes and equipment, and at 1pm we depart.
13h00: The boat picks up passengers to Lan Ha Bay for the Deep Water Solo tour. Deep water solo routes are graded between 4+ to 7c+.
- Then the boat will cruise to the first wall called Sea Face, meanwhile the tour guides will explain and give you some tips about the jumping and landing techniques. Before each climb, they'll explain the name, grade and some hard movements you might need in the climb. At first, you'll start with a basic one (4a, 5m high) to get to know the feeling of jumping and correct your landing techniques, then based on your strength and climbing skills, our guides will recommend the next routes for you to try. There are about 15 routes on Sea Face, graded from 4a to 7a, mostly they're from 5a to 6b. There are also some traverse routes if you don't want to jump from a too high level.

- After you finish with Sea Face, we'll go to the 2nd wall - harder - called Three Brothers, with about 17 routes graded from 5b to 7c+. Three Brothers is a perfect crag for DWS newbies. The crag is less intimidating than Hawaii 5-0 and has loads of easier climbs generally not exceeding 15 meters. Though short, the climbs feature interesting movement and boulder - style problems.
- After all the climbs, you’ll have about 10–15 minutes to cool off with a refreshing swim in the bay.
- Take in the stunning limestone cliffs one last time before we hop back on the boat. Then, the captain will take us to a peaceful floating house tucked away in the bay — the starting point for our magical night kayaking tour.
18h00: Local Dinner on Floating House & Night Kayaking
- As the sun sets over Lan Ha Bay, we’ll stop at a small floating house nestled in a quiet corner of the bay. Here, you’ll enjoy a simple local-style meal — a warm, authentic experience that lets you taste the flavors of the sea and life on the bay
- After dinner, as night falls and the water calms, we begin our peaceful kayak journey. Paddle through the darkness and witness a rare and magical sight: bioluminescent plankton glowing with every stroke of your paddle. The stillness, the stars, and the glowing water make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
9:00pm - 9:15pm: After dinner, return to Cat Ba Climbing office. This marks the end of your unforgettable tour, leaving you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Day 2: Half day Rock climbing at King Fisher - Back to Ha Noi.
7:30am: You will be at our office to check out climbing shoes and equipment, and at 8:00am we depart.
8:30am: Our professional guides will set up the top rope, support you while you're climbing, and clean up the climb afterwards.
- About Fisher Valley: Fisher Valley offers high-quality limestone climbing with a wide range of routes — from technical vertical faces to longer endurance routes. Some pitches reach over 35 meters in height, providing a real sense of adventure and exposure. The views from the second-pitch anchors alone make the effort worth it!
- Route Info: Routes #16–21 are extensions with total lengths measured from the ground.
Gear Note: These routes require extended quickdraws, and for safe lowering, a 70-meter rope is strongly recommended.
For routes #16, 17, 19, and 20, climbers should lower from the intermediate belay ledge or perform multiple rappels from the top anchor.
Important Safety Reminder:
Always double-check your rope length and tie a stopper knot at the end to prevent accidental lowering off the rope.
12:30 PM – Return to Cat Ba Climbing Office
We’ll pack up and head back to the office, giving you time to relax, grab a drink, or freshen up before departure.
3:00–3:30 PM – Bus Departure to Hanoi
After a rewarding day on the rock, the bus will pick you up directly from the Cat Ba Climbing office for your return trip to Hanoi.
