DAY 1: HANOI – CAT BA | CAT BA ISLAND EXPLORATION

Bus pick-up from Hanoi Old Quarter, departure to Cat Ba Island.

Arrival in Cat Ba. Check in at the homestay and take a short rest after the journey.

Afternoon – Evening: Free time to explore Cat Ba Island

We provide free motorbike rental, allowing you to explore Cat Ba at your own pace. Suggested highlights include:

• Cat Ba National Park – light trekking and discovering the diverse primary forest ecosystem
• Trung Trang Cave – a natural cave famous for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites
• Hospital Cave – a unique historical site hidden inside the mountain
• Cat Ba Town, local beaches, cafés, and restaurants

In the evening, guests are free to enjoy dinner, walk along the beach, and relax in the peaceful island atmosphere.

DAY 2: FULL-DAY ROCK CLIMBING – FISHER VALLEY

After breakfast, travel with our professional climbing guides to Fisher Valley, the most beautiful and unspoiled limestone climbing area on Cat Ba Island.

08:20 – Start climbing

Our professional guides will set up the top rope, support you while you’re climbing, and clean the routes afterward.

You will start climbing with the guides belaying and coaching from below, providing constant feedback on body positioning and movement efficiency.

Based on each climber’s experience level, strength, and confidence, the guides will recommend suitable routes and gradually introduce more technical challenges. There is no time limit — this experience is designed to help you progress at your own pace, build confidence, and overcome fear in a controlled and supportive environment.

Throughout the session, the guides will introduce key climbing concepts and techniques, such as:

Balance and foot placement

Using body positioning instead of arm strength

Reading routes and planning movements

Basic movement types on limestone walls

You will also learn essential climbing communication terms, understand the purpose of different climbing devices, and gain insight into risk awareness and safety principles used in outdoor rock climbing.

Our guides act not only as belayers, but also as coaches and mentors, helping you improve technique, climb more efficiently, and enjoy the experience safely while surrounded by the spectacular limestone landscape of Fisher Valley.

Rest time with light lunch and fresh fruit at the climbing area

Afternoon

Continue climbing on different routes

Guests may choose routes and difficulty levels according to their preference

Guides continue to provide technical support and ensure maximum safety

Finish climbing activities

Return to the homestay

Evening

Dinner at the homestay

Relax, share stories, and enjoy time with the guides

Overnight at the homestay.

DAY 3: CAT BA – HANOI

Free time to relax

Check-out after breakfast

Bus departure from Cat Ba, returning to Hanoi.

End of the Hanoi – Cat Ba 3 days 2 nights tour.
