-Later in the evening, prepare for a truly unforgettable experience: Night Kayaking to See Bioluminescent Plankton.
Our guide will take out the kayak and lead you into the calm, quiet waters of Lan Ha Bay. In the darkness, you'll paddle into hidden coves and peaceful inlets where the water sparkles with plankton bioluminescence — tiny organisms that glow when disturbed, lighting up the water with every stroke.
Want a closer look? Feel free to take a refreshing swim and watch your body shimmer and sparkle under the water — a surreal moment that feels like swimming through stardust.
This peaceful, otherworldly adventure is the perfect way to end your first day in Cat Ba.
Day 2: Deep water solo - Kayaking - visit Việt Hải village
Morning Wake-Up & Breakfast
Start your day with a peaceful breakfast on the floating house or boat, surrounded by the calm beauty of Lan Ha Bay.
Deep Water Soloing (DWS) – ~2 hours
After breakfast, we begin the day’s main adventure: Deep Water Soloing. The boat will cruise toward the iconic climbing wall known as Sea Face, where the real fun begins.
Our experienced guides will brief you on the essential jumping and landing techniques to ensure both safety and enjoyment. Before each route, they will introduce the climb’s name, difficulty grade, and give tips for tackling any tricky movements. You’ll start with an easy warm-up (around 4a, ~5 meters high) to get familiar with the feeling of falling into water safely.
Depending on your strength and comfort, we’ll suggest routes that suit you best.
Sea Face offers around 15 routes, mostly graded from 5a to 6b, with a few easier (4a) and some challenging climbs up to 7a.
Prefer to stay lower? We also have traverse routes that let you climb across rather than up, with minimal jumping.
Note: If you want to focus on climbing only, we can adjust the itinerary and extend your DWS time instead of kayaking.

After the climb, relax and paddle through quiet inlets and lagoons with our provided kayaks. Glide across emerald waters, soak in the peaceful scenery, and enjoy the silence of nature.
Around noon, the boat will head to Viet Hai Village, a charming traditional village nestled in the heart of Cat Ba National Park. Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch prepared with local ingredients.
Explore Viet Hai by Bicycle
After lunch, take a bike ride around the village, passing through lush jungle trails and rice fields. You’ll also have the chance to try the unique fish massage — let small fish gently nibble your feet as you relax after a full day of activity.
Return & Hotel Check-in
In the afternoon, the boat will take you back to the harbor. From there, we’ll transfer you to your hotel for check-in and a well-deserved rest.
